Alterations

We offer alteration services exclusively for customers who purchase their gown with us. Our alterations are provided by 4 different seamstresses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Once you begin alterations with one seamstress, you will continue to meet with them for any additional fittings.

Alteration fees are completely separate from the purchase of your gown and are paid in cash directly to your seamstress. All gowns being altered with Julie Allen Bridals are required to have the appropriate alterations service package. The service packages are:

The Platinum Package for Bridal gowns ($95)
The Gold Package for Mother’s gowns ($35)
The Silver Package for Bridesmaid gowns ($10)

The service packages provide access to our seamstresses, scheduling assistance, storing of your gown, and a full pressing when the alterations are complete. Most of our customers pick up their completed gowns only a few days before their scheduled wear date. The service packages do not apply towards your alterations fees.

Standard alteration fees are as follows:

Bridal gowns are no more than $525
Mother’s gowns are no more than $220
Bridesmaid’s gowns are no more than $90

Customizations are quoted separately and may be discussed with your seamstress at your first fitting. Alterations are by appointment only and must be scheduled by phone or in store.

Once your alterations are complete, your gown will receive a full press-out and you will schedule a pick up appointment.

Alterations for Gowns Not Purchased with Us

We understand that sometimes customers may want alterations made to gowns not originally purchased at our store. While we do our best to accommodate all alteration requests, please note that due to scheduling limitations and the need to prioritize our valued customers, we may not always be able to accept gowns purchased elsewhere.

Additionally, the fees for alterations on gowns not purchased from us may differ from the standard pricing we offer for our in-store customers. Our pricing structure is specifically tailored to those who have purchased their gowns with us, and alterations for outside purchases may not fall under the same price guidelines.
